Spotlight Retail Group, Australia’s leading specialty retailer, is seeking a dynamic Finance manager to join our high-performing group finance team.

This is a hybrid role that offers a compelling blend of professional growth, competitive compensation, and a vibrant work-life balance.

As a Finance Manager you will be responsible for the oversight and management of financial operations, ensuring effective reporting, analysis, and control of the general ledger.

 

What you'll do

  • Lead the completion of month end accounts, journal adjustments and balance sheet reconciliations
  • Report on and analyse actual results against forecast
  • Prepare ad-hoc financial reports
  • Manage the external audit and the preparation of work papers
  • Support Commercial and Operations team with financial information and reporting to support decision making
  • Assist the Financial Controller with cash flow management
  • Lead and mentor the financial accounting team
  • Identify and drive opportunities for improved business outcomes, particularly with respect to finance related functions

 

What you'll bring

  • Must be CA or CPA qualified with prior relevant experience in a finance management position
  • Advanced Excel skills and proficiency in accounting software (SAP preferred)
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to influence and drive change across the organisation
  • Strong analytical, problem solving and decision-making skills
  • Strong people management skills
  • A proactive, team-oriented mindset with a passion for retail
