Spotlight Retail Group is searching for a results-oriented Business Intelligence Specialist with front end and back end development experience within Power BI

As a Business Intelligence Specialist, you will be instrumental in transforming raw data into actionable insights. Your expertise in Power BI, both front-end and back-end, will be essential in delivering world-class reporting solutions.

 

 

Here's What Awaits You

  • Master Power BI: Design, develop, and optimize interactive dashboards and reports. Ensure optimal performance through expert use of Power Query, DAX, and Power BI Service.
  • Data-Driven Insights: Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business needs, gather data, and create tailored reports. Perform rigorous data quality checks to guarantee accuracy and reliability.
  • Data Integration Expert: Seamlessly integrate data from diverse sources into Power BI. Work closely with data engineers and analysts to optimize data pipelines and reporting processes.
  • Performance Optimization: Fine-tune Power BI solutions for speed and efficiency. Implement best practices to enhance user experience and maximize the value of insights.
  • Knowledge Sharing: Empower users through comprehensive training and support. Troubleshoot issues and ensure seamless report consumption.
  • Strategic Partner: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive data-driven decision making. Contribute to the evolution of the BI landscape, including migrations to HANA and Snowflake.
  • Documentation and Standardization: Create clear and concise documentation for reports, dashboards, and processes. Drive reporting simplification and standardization across the organization.

 

 

What We Are Looking For

  • Power BI Mastery: Proven expertise in Power BI administration, development, and design, including data modelling, reporting, and dashboard creation.
  • Data Architecture: Strong foundation in database systems, SQL, and ETL processes with experience in tools like AWS Glue, DBT, and SSIS.
  • Cloud Proficiency: Solid understanding of AWS cloud fundamentals for data-related services.
  • Data Modelling: Demonstrated ability to create and implement universal semantic layers in complex data environments.
  • Industry Knowledge: Preferred experience in the retail sector to understand specific data requirements and challenges.
  • Platform Expertise: Hands-on experience with leading data platforms such as Snowflake, SAP BW on HANA, and Oracle.
